Press kit and bios

Ready-to-use bios about me, and visuals you can reuse. The bios are in the third person and use my name only, with no pronouns, so they can be pasted anywhere.

Short bio (40 words)

Khushi Singh is a biologist from IISER Pune doing master’s research at the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg. Khushi studies how gene expression is controlled in early development, at chromatin and through RNA–protein condensates, and how metabolism shapes it.

Longer bio (120 words)

Khushi Singh is a BS-MS student at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, currently doing master’s research at the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg, Germany. Khushi’s research asks how gene expression is controlled in early development: at chromatin, by transcription factors and epigenetic regulators, and in the cytoplasm, by RNA–protein condensates. Earlier projects covered single-molecule RNA imaging in fruit-fly embryos, protein phase separation, the endoplasmic reticulum and autophagy, and a fluorescent biosensor for a bacterial division protein; current work links metabolism to histone marks and to behaviour in flies. Khushi also volunteers in education outreach and runs khushisingh.in, with open tools and simple explanations of biology.
